Testimonials..... A real gem. A proper country pub offering reasonable food, with great guest beers always available. Cozy, full of locals and with darts, old fashioned bar skittles inside and a pentanque area in the delightful garden at the back. Lovely on a warm summers evening to wile away the hours enjoying the peace and quiet, view and genuine atmosphere. mondyboy - 25 Mar 2009 13:54 (Beer in the Evening) If you like the traditional country inn then this pub is for you. A frequently changing selection of real ales and 'real' cider) The food is excellent; all freshly prepared and cooked by the landlord's wife (apparently much of the ingredients are locally sourced) and very reasonably priced too. The 'pub garden' is strewn with lovely old apple trees and at the very back a petanque pitch overlooks farmland: If you visit in the winter you can always warm yourself by one of the two real fires whilst playing darts or bar skittles. Jules64 - 18 Aug 2008 20:26 (Beer in the Evening) I really like this place.Came across it whilst tracing history of my family who lived in the village.Beer kept well, good honest food at reasonable prices...friendly local village pub with longstanding landlord and landlady wolseley - 16 Dec 2007 22:14 (Beer in the Evening) |
